Not all snacks are created equal. When I came up with the idea for this matcha white chocolate popcorn, I brought it into work and the reactions were clear — OMG! What the hell is this stuff?? Why is it so good!?

What makes this popcorn so ridiculously delicious? Who knows. All I know is… THIS. STUFF. IS. SNACK. CRACK.

Let me tell you about it. Crunchy popcorn. Creamy white chocolate chips. Coconut oil. Matcha green tea powder. Fresh pungent rosemary. Flaky sea salt.

I’ve mentioned before that matcha is not my jam in large doses. I cannot drink a matcha latte. But, combined with white chocolate and rosemary — that freaking works. I love this popcorn because it is simultaneously sweet and savory. The white chocolate and the matcha meld together perfectly. The rosemary and salt just take it up to the next level.

I’m really excited for this popcorn in anticipation of the fall and winter holidays. It’s a perfect snack that you can whip up in seriously like… 10-15 minutes? It’s fast. Plus, it’s gluten free if you have any friends or family with dietary restrictions.

Some places you should bring this popcorn:

  • Hocus Pocus movie night

  • Sunday afternoon football parties

  • A fall-themed crafternoon

  • Thanksgiving with the fam

  • All of your Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Yule/New Years parties. Think how fast you’ll be at whipping this up by the end!

  • Literally anywhere people like to eat good food

One last thing — you may think, “Eh, I probably don’t really need to bake this, right?” WRONG. I tried both ways and when you don’t bake this popcorn, it turns out overly sweet, a little bit saccharine. When you DO bake it, it just mellows the flavors a little bit and gives the popcorn the complexity I’ve been raving about. Plus, it’s super sticky if you don’t bake it which is no fun.

Okay! You made it. Popcorn away! Let me know your thoughts on this recipe in the comments, on my Instagram or on this pin on Pinterest!

If you don’t already have matcha powder, there are many small starter size options on Amazon: Jade Leaf and Starter Matcha both have small options for just a few dollars.

Popcorn keeps for 1-2 days, but best eaten on the day it’s made.

Currently reading:

  • Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. This book is LONG but I have been devouring it. I’m through 600 pages in about… 12 days? (That is crazy fast for me). I haven’t read a “classic” book in years but this one kept popping up in my podcasts and tv shows so I gave it a shot. Really glad I did.

Lovely little things:

  • I have been OBSESSED with this Teeccino tea lately. I love the taste of coffee but I just can’t drink it (it makes me tweaky). A co-worker mentioned this and I cannot stop drinking it. It’s caffeine-free but seriously tastes like coffee. They have a ton of different flavors and I have yet to find one I dislike. I love that they have a sampler pack though I personally really like the Dark Roast and the Chocolate.

  • I’m always looking for great flats. My beige flats are dying so I bought these Modern Point flats from Everlane. I wasn’t sure about them when I first tried them on (they seemed stiff), but the reviews are so great that I stuck with them. I’m glad I did. They’re a great staple and have definitely loosened up. Didn’t even give me blisters in order to break them in which is a plus. Lol. I have them in Cognac Suede.
